Chicken Hair

Hannah hates her hands to be dirty. She has discovered that wiping her hands in her hair will get them pretty clean. The night of the "chicken hair," we had chicken pot pie.

Hannah loves her sunglasses. It is also becoming a pretty consistent thing to wear her hat and coat all day long. Our house really is not that cold.

Family Pictures

These were our best attempts at a new family picture. It was nap time and Brent just wouldn't cooperate!

The Jacket

These are pictures of Hannah in her hat and jacket. One of her favorite things to do is have Mom help her put on her jacket and then she runs around the house playing with all of her toys. Every once in a while, in the midst of the playing, Hannah has Mom help her take of the jacket and put it back on again.

Helping Dad

We bought a dresser for Hannah's room, and she decided that she wanted to help Dad put it together. As you can see, she was right in the middle of the project. She was great at pulling everything out of the box and putting things where she wanted them to go. Needless to say, we began the project at bedtime and Hannah only got to help for a few minutes.

Apron

Hannah tried on Mom's apron and looked super cute.

Our Big One Year Old

These are Hannah's one year pictures. She loves teddy bears and was very excited to be able to hold one. We couldn't get her to let go of it for the sunflower picture. The Thomas the Train background was a promotion that they were doing and it turned out to be one of Hannah's cutest pictures.

Halloween 2006

Halloween was a ton of fun! Hannah and Jenna enjoyed dressing up and laughing at each other in their costumes. Hannah wasn't too sure about being an elephant, but once we started walking around outside in the cold, she thought that it was the funnest thing that she had ever done. Walking from house to house, Hannah would laugh and ooo and ah. The girls would stand at the door and wait impatiently for our friends to come and give them treats. Afterwards, we came back to the house and the girls discovered the true meaning of Halloween, CANDY! They enjoyed searching through their buckets and were even allowed to eat some of the goodies.

Stubbed Toe

While walking past the highchair a couple of weeks ago, Brent came a little too close and stubbed his poor pinky toe. The next day, while at work, he decided that his foot was a little stiff and sore. When Brent came home and removed his boot, he discovered a colorful bruise which he promptly took a picture of to remind him of the agony that the highchair put him through.

The Morning After the First Birthday

The morning after Hannah's birthday, Brent put together her new "Walk n' Ride" toy. She had a great time learning how to ride on it and even figured out how to lift her feet so that we could push her around. She also LOVES the compartment that she can pull toys out of. One of Hannah's favorite games is to take things in and out of containers.

Fat Lip

Hannah woke up from one of her naps last week with a fat lip. We have no idea where it came from. Here are some before and after pictures of the fat lip.

Hannah's First Birthday

Hannah turned one year old on Friday, October 13th. She had a nice birthday party with friends, and Grandma Powell even came from Colorado to celebrate. Hannah had a great time opening presents. Her favorite one was her Elmo chair, as is evidenced by her giving him kisses.

Blessing Weekend

Here are more pictures from Ashley's blessing weekend. We had a great time catching up with family and we even got to meet Chris' girlfriend, Shalom. Grandpa Powell helped Hannah figure out how to swing, and she LOVED it. She could have kept on swinging for hours.

Ashley Lee's Blessing

We went to Utah for Ashley's blessing this past weekend. Hannah loved sitting in Josh's "Thomas" chair. Josh didn't like that idea and kept kicking her out of HIS chair. It was pretty funny watching the cousins figure out how to play.

Jenna's Birthday Party

We went to Hannah's friend, Jenna's, birthday party on August 12th. There were lots of friends, toys, and wrapping paper to play with. Hannah really liked Jenna's new air chair, but Jenna didn't like that idea.
